Grant Extends Cornerstone’s Reach

The Office of Continuing Education received a $30,000 grant from the Educational Assistance Foundation to better prepare high school students for college. The Cornerstone Reach Project is an extension of the Cornerstone Program.

Pathway to Endorsement for Certified Teachers

To meet the federal mandate of having "highly-qualified" teachers in every Washington state classroom, the State Board of Education recently approved new routes to adding endorsements to an existing teaching certification. Central Washington University's College of Education and Professional Studies and the Office of Continuing Education are pleased to offer Pathway 2 to teachers seeking endorsements.

Amy Mumma Wins First Wine Women Award!

Amy Mumma, program coordinator and instructor for the CWU World Wine Program, can lay claim to being the world’s top female wine professional, after winning the “Wine Women Awards” competition. The finals of the first annual event were held Thursday, June 16, in Paris.

CWU To Host Wine Marketing And PR Conference

The CWU Office of Continuing Education will host Vineyard and Winery Management's "Wine Industry Marketing and Public Relations Conference" in Ellensburg, May 9-10. Washington State is the nation's second largest wine producer, and the industry accounts for more than 11,000 full-time jobs in Washington.

PEAK 2005

On April 30th, 2005, P.E. and Health educators from across the state will convene in Ellensburg for the 5th Annual Physical Education Activity Kaleidoscope (PEAK) workshop.
