- Read this Check List and place it where you will read it often!
- Contact Nancy Budner if you have questions: budnern@cwu.edu or (509) 963-1527 (voice mail).
- Procure at least one copy of the recommended text for the course and refer to it often.
- Read the Recommendations for Lecturers in Mathematics.
- Read the Learner Outcomes for your Cornerstone mathematics course(s).
- As you progress through the course, check off the particular learner outcomes that you have covered.
- Provide your students with a rigorous course. NOTE: Your course time frame MUST conform in length to CWU’s quarter system. Course requests that undercut and or overshoot that time frame will be denied!
- Assess your students in a variety of ways.
- Use the Rule of Three often and with emphasis on the relative value of various strategies for solving problems.
- Check that a grade sheet is mailed to you and that you mail the completed sheet back to CWU.
- Attend an organizational meeting for Cornerstone lecturers once a year.
