-
Upon approval, the department liaison will provide a syllabus and overview of the teaching materials currently used in the course to new instructors via email and their initial Cornerstone site visit to CWU campus. Appropriate textbook choices, syllabus criteria, appropriate activities and testing strategies will be covered.
-
Each summer instructors will be brought to campus for workshops relevant to instruction and development of course materials. On-campus annual training will take place during the CWU Cornerstone Workshop day. The training will include a review of on campus and Cornerstone syllabi of the same courses, updating Cornerstone faculty on department goals, objectives and assignments for courses taught in the Cornerstone program, and evaluation of similar student work to check for grading consistencies.
-
The department liaison will review the syllabus, a sample test, and available SEOI scores for all Cornerstone faculty before they are approved to teach a subsequent Cornerstone course.
