Upon approval Theatre Arts faculty will provide orientation and teaching materials currently used in the course to new CWU Cornerstone lecturers, through: site visit, electronic communication or on campus. Textbook, syllabus criteria, appropriate activities and projects will be covered.

Participants will also be given access to material used in the on-line presentation of the course to draw upon as resources.

Each summer instructors will be brought to campus for workshops and other training relevant to on-going instruction and development of course materials. On-campus annual training will take place over a twenty-four hour period.

Day 1

Afternoon sessions including material such as pedagogy, activities, grading, project development and similar topics will be presented.

Evening sessions with participants of the Summer Institute for Theatre Arts allowing instructors to network with teachers of Middle and High School Theatre programs nation wide. Specific topics will structure a seminar format.

Day 2

Morning session classroom with attendance in the on-campus course with discussion following regarding the classroom climate with on campus instructor(s) and strategies to create a similar climate at the participating school.

Site visit to high school by department liaison.
*This ongoing interaction is intended to build collegiality and ensure consistency of instructions between CWU faculty that teach on campus and those who teach through the CWU Cornerstone program.
