Refund policies of Central Washington University are consistent with Washington State law.

The Office of Continuing Education adheres to the following cancellation and refund policies (unless otherwise noted):

  • All requests for registration cancellation/course withdrawal and tuition and fees refund must be submitted inwriting, by mail, fax, e-mail or in person. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal.
  • The $10 processing fee will be applied to all withdrawal requests.
  • Materials fees are not refundable.
  • A refund takes approximately 4-5 weeks after the Office of Continuing Education receives your request. Refunds are made to the credit card or by check only to the payer of record.
  • Students with a non-academic and/or personal emergency may petition for an exception to this policy by submitting supporting documentation to the Office of Continuing Education.
  • Refunds are computed as of the date on which official notification is received by this office.
  • Please note that additional program-specific cancellation and refund policies may exist. Please consult your program registration materials or contact our office for more information.
  • The Office of Continuing Education reserves the right to change without notice program policies and fees. If Continuing Education cancels a course, 100 percent of tuition and program fees received will be refunded.
