Science teachers across the United States are asking for advanced content knowledge and skills to enhance their performance, improve student learning, and advance their careers. The M.S. Biology Teaching program at Central Washington University provides engaging, hands-on experiences with content experts in ways consistent with best-practice research on how people learn (National Research Council, 2005).
Our intensive program is designed to minimize time out of your summer and maximize your knowledge and skills, professional development, and earning potential. Our courses are taught by faculty members from a variety of life science fields who are committed to working with K-12 teachers to provide experiences that address teacher needs. Hands-on research, field trips, and practical application are highlights.
Connection to State and National Standards The M.S. for Biology Teachers program at CWU is aligned to the National Science Education Standards for science content, unifying concepts, and science as inquiry. They also align to the latest Washington state standards for life science. |
