The University Rockers were not simply some overnight success. Oh no, this band took months and months before they hit it big. With several shows under their belt, a radio interview on KCWU 88.1 The 'Burg, and a new single release, The University Rockers finally have success. The band started back in July of '07 when their guitarist, Tyler Johnson, pitched the idea of a band to the Office of Continuing Education. He said it would be a fun way to promote Summer Session and get students to pay attention to the program's benefits. The idea shot off like a rocket! Now the band is running stronger than ever with Tyler on guitar and vocals, Quinn Garry on drums and Isaac Jackson on bass.
