"I consider the Central Washington Writing Project my project for my professional home. Since my participation in the Summer Institute in 1992, I have worked alongside colleagues to polish our practice, celebrate our students, and share our learning and leadership across the region, state, nation, and world"

-- Susan Johnson, Cle Elum-Roslyn S.D. High School English, 2009 Washington State Teacher of the Year

"I could take all of the lessons/units and tweak them to fit my students' needs and have a year or more of lesson ideas and plans. It was confirming to me to see that no matter the grade level or the content or the genre, good writing is good writing."

-- Glen Kessinger, Yakima S.D. Instructional Facilitator
