CWU Summer Session 2011

CWU Summer Session '10

GENERAL REGULATION AND INFORMATION

Procedure for Enrolling in Cooperative Education

Cooperative Field Experience (CFE) Learning Agreements are available at academic department offices or Career Services (Barge Hall, room 204M). It is advisable to allow at least a week in which to obtain required approval signatures, in sequence, on the bottom of the form. All approval signatures are required before registration will be permitted. All parts of the form must be completed, including complete mailing addresses, in Part A. Career Services will mail a copy of the CFE form to you.

Procedure for enrolling in Individual Study Course

Forms are available at academic department offices, Registrar Services and university center offices. Permission must be granted from the instructor, department chair, and dean prior to registration. To complete the form, make sure to include the descriptive title and course outline. Once the appropriate signatures have been obtained, submit the individual study permit to the Registrar Services to complete the registration process.

Procedure for Arranged Course Permit

An Arranged Course Permit is used when a student wishes to register for a class that is not offered on the Schedule of Classes for the term, providing the class is shown in the current catalog. Any class that is currently being offered cannot be registered for as an arranged course. Seminar and workshop courses may not be registered for as arranged courses.

Forms are available at Registrar Services, university center, and academic department offices. The instructor and department chair must grant permission before completing the Arranged Course Permit.

University Catalog

The online electronic catalog (OEC) is the university's official compilation for all curricula. The OEC serves as the basis for major, minor, and program requirements for the academic year. For current policy and curriculum requirements refer to the CWU online catalog.

Request for Mailed Grade Report

Unless requested, students are no longer mailed a hard copy grade report. Students may request to have their grades sent to their home or permanent address by filling out a Grade Report Request form available at Registrar Services or university center offices. It can also be downloaded from the Web. Grade reports that have been requested will be mailed two to three weeks following the end of finals week. Grades are also available on Safari via Learner Services > Academics > View My Grades.

Students with Disabilities

Center for Disability Services, located in Bouillon Hall 205, was established to ensure that CWU students of disability are provided equal access to university programs and facilities. Information about disability documentation, classroom accommodations, and program access can be obtained by calling 509-963-2171.

Schedule Book

Quarterly Class Schedule booklets are no longer printed. All course offerings are available on the Web or by navigating to SAFARI > Self Service > Student Center > Add a Class. Students should continue to review academic policies and procedures on a quarterly basis via the Registration Handbook and OEC. To obtain a hard copy of the summer schedule, call 509-963-2637.
