REGISTRATION INFORMATIONProcedures for enrollment in Summer Session courses depend upon your current student standing at CWU. Listed below are various student categories and the procedures for enrolling in Summer Session 2010. CONTINUING (DEGREE-SEEKING) STUDENTSDefinition: Undergraduate and graduate students who were enrolled as matriculated students during Spring Quarter 2010 and did not graduate at the end of Spring Quarter may register for Summer Session courses beginning May 10, 2010. Procedure for Summer Session enrollment: Online, selfservice registration via SAFARI will be available to all continuing students as of May 10, 2010. NON-MATRICULATING (NON-DEGREE SEEKING) STUDENTSDefinition: Students not working toward a degree or certification of any kind from CWU. Classes may be taken for personal enrichment or for transfer to another institution. Procedure for Summer Session enrollment: Complete and submit the Summer Session Non-matriculated Student Application. As soon as your Summer Session Non-matriculated Student Application is processed by Registrar Services, you will be sent a letter with your CWU student ID, PIN, and instructions on how to access and use the online, self-service registration system- SAFARI. Summer Session registration will be available on May 10, 2010. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTSProcedure for Summer Session enrollment: High school students who wish to enroll during Summer Session may do so with the written approval of both the high school principal and the CWU registrar. Obtain a High School Enrichment Form from Registrar Services, have it signed by your high school principal, and attach your transcript. Bring the form, with the transcript attached, to Registrar Services for approval. After approval, submit the Summer Session Non-matriculated Student Application Form to Registrar Services. As soon as your Summer Session Non-matriculated Student Application is processed by Registrar Services, you will be sent a letter with your CWU student ID, PIN, and instructions on how to access and use the online, self-service registration system- SAFARI. Summer Session registration will be available on May 10, 2010. OTHER TYPES OF STUDENTSDefinition: New students seeking undergraduate or graduate admission to CWU and those seeking Washington State teacher certification through the CWU College of Education and Professional Studies. Procedure for Summer Session enrollment: New students planning to attend Summer Session must submit an undergraduate or graduate application form to the Admissions office following the procedures outlined in the links below. As soon as you have been officially accepted to the university, you will be sent a letter with your CWU student ID and PIN by the Admissions Office. Registrar Services will send instructions on how to access and use the online, self-service registration system-SAFARI prior to registration.
