Wine Trade and Tourism Minor

About the Program

This cross-disciplinary program prepares individuals for employment in many areas of the wine industry, including tourism, hospitality services, retailing, wine sales, marketing, and tasting room and event management.

  • GWS 304 - Wine Marketing and Branding Credits: (4)
  • RT 371 - Tourism Essentials Credits: (3)
  • RT 374 - Festivals and Events Credits: (3)

OR
  • RT 405 - Hospitality Catering Credits: (3)
  • RT or FCSG Electives - In consultation with a faculty advisor an additional 8 credits will be required. For a complete list of options click here Credits: (8)

Application Process

Students must be fully matriculated at CWU in order to enroll in this program. Admission to the minor will require admission to the Wine Trade Professional Certificate Program. To download the application for the minor click here. Required courses are subject to change.

Financial Obligations

Tuition for the FCSG and RT courses will be at the regular CWU tuition rate and waivers can be applied to the FCSG and RT courses. Additional tuition costs will apply for GWS classes. Tuition is subject to change. All courses are eligible for student financial aid. Tuition waiver programs are not accepted for GWS courses. Additional course fees may also apply.
